This, from a once-prominent Democrat:
This conversation about race and racism, domestic terrorism, white supremacy, white nationalism, it is that I am profoundly saddened as an American,” Brazile told Benson, who asked if she believed Trump is a white supremacist.
“President Trump had nothing to do with the maniac, and I’m being gracious here, the maniac who shot up a Wal-Mart store,” Brazile continued. “He had nothing to do with the person who shot up, you know, the bar in Dayton. This is unbecoming of the country. The President of United States, you know, should not be blamed for you know these individual killers.”
One of the cornerstones of the Liberal Progressive ideology is that everyone’s problems were caused by somebody else and, further, everyone else should be made to pay in order for those problems to ultimately be solved. Remember Dr hope and change? Yeah, he was the guy that said no one accomplishes anything on their own but rather everyone’s accomplishments come by the efforts of the many that surround them.
Pretzel logic, I know, but it’s how liberals roll.
And even as the left blames Trump for El Paso, and Dayton, and every other mass shooting during his watch, the reality is that these things are everyone’s fault but most importantly they are the fault of the person that pulled the trigger.
They are the fault of the parents. They are the fault of the schools. They are the fault of the communities in which the shooters were raised. They are the fault of everyone that ever knew the shooter. They are the fault of any number of individuals… But they most certainly aren’t the fault of the people that made the gun nor the faults of the political action committees that are defending the rights of American citizens to own guns.
Until the left understands the extent to which these shootings are as much their fault as anyone else’s, the shootings will continue. When they are ready to sit at the table and come to an understanding about all the systems that failed the people that pulled those triggers, the Bloodshed will continue. Banning every gun ever made will not end the murder of innocent people – knives machetes rocks sticks… All of these things and so much more will just become the next method of death until the blame game circles back around to the root cause and what led these killers to ultimately decide to kill.
